Angela Ashton

Founder & Director 

Angela co-founded Evergreen Consultants and has 25 years experience in investment markets. She has held senior investment roles at QIC, and was Head of Ratings at van Eyk Research and Lonsec. She holds a BSc, BEcon, MComm (Fin), is a Fellow of FINSIA and completed the CIMA qualification. 

Brett Baker

Founder & Director 

Brett co-founded Evergreen Consultants and has 20 years experience working with a number of organisations in a sales capacity including Citigroup, UBS and Dresdner Bank. Brett holds a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, as well as a Masters of Business Administration.

Denis Carroll


Denis established Airservices Australia’s highly successful and innovative AvSuper Superannuation Fund in 1990 and led it for 15 years before entering the funds management industry in 2005. He was a director of IXIS Asset Management in Australia before joining Pengana Capital in 2007 where he was Head of Distribution. Denis is now the Australian representative for Check Risk, a global provider of risk and risk management services to institutional clients.

Michael Houlihan

Non-Executive Director 

Michael's professional experience includes more than 30 years in superannuation and financial services. He is the CEO of SuperBPO, which incorporates the role of CEO of Combined Super. He has held senior roles at JBWere Investment Management and Vanguard Investments. Michael is a Director of MHM Financial Group. He is on the board of the ASX listed Mainstream BPO, the Victorian Chapter Chair of the SMSF Association and the Chair of Eltham College. Michael holds a Diploma of Superannuation Management and a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration.

Dr. Kingsley Jones

Asset Allocation Committee 

Kingsley has 20 years experience in financial markets. He was a Portfolio Manager for the Macquarie Global Thematic Fund, Global Head of Quantitative Trading Research and a member of the Australian Value team at Alliance Bernstein LP and Head of Quantitative Research at CSFB. He is a Founding Partner of Jevons Global, a global investment firm. Kingsley holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics, a CFA and is an affiliate member of the MTA. 

Stephen Duchesne

Asset Allocation Committee 

Stephen has over 30 years experience in financial markets. He was formerly Managing Director and Head of Australasian Debt Markets with Merrill Lynch Australia and has held senior roles at Credit Suisse and Midland Bank PLC. He co-founded Endowment Bond Exchange. He is currently commercializing his second fintech start-up and manages a valuation-based equity fund. He holds a BSc in pure maths, a MAppFin and is a Fellow of FINSIA.

Rob Fletcher

Head of Quantitative Analysis 

Rob joined Evergreen Consultants in July 2016 and has over 15 years experience in financial services. He has held market analyst and portfolio management roles at boutique IFA’s and a precious metals exchange and has been a consulting portfolio manager and investment committee member to a number of financial planning firms. Rob has a background in industrial chemistry and holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services a member of APTA and a Certified Financial Technician –IFTA.

Darrell Clark

Head of Qualitative Analysis 

Darrell is Head of Qualitative Research at Evergreen Consultants, responsible for manager, market and economic research and assisting in building and monitoring Evergreen and client portfolios. He has over 15 years of financial markets experience. Prior to joining Evergreen, Darrell was a Senior Investment Analyst within BT Financial Group's Advice Research team responsible for fund selection and portfolio construction for his sectors of coverage. He has also worked in client relationship roles for Skandia and Gartmore Investment Management. Darrell has a BA (Hons) Economics from the University of East Anglia (UK) and has also completed a Masters in Applied Finance.

Maximilian Mulholland-Licht


A recent graduate, Max is working towards further qualifications in Finance at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Jackson Scott
